Mirada’s Lagoon: The Final Stretch

Our team at Mirada is working hard to complete construction on our lagoon amenity. Keep reading to get an update on our lagoon & other community features, and check out our exclusive announcement at the end!

 2023 is shaping up to be a very busy year at Mirada’s lagoon! As you may have noticed, our lagoon started filling with water in December! With over 25 million gallons of water already filled, the lagoon is going through an extensive purifying process to ensure it is clean and ready for use. This process entails filling, filtering, draining, cleaning, and refilling. Currently, our lagoon operations team is cleaning the liner while we complete installation and testing on the filtration systems. Additionally, the floating inflatable water obstacle course was just delivered and will begin to go up in the next few weeks.

Aside from the progress being made filling the lagoon, there’s lots of other activity on land as well.  Sidewalks are being poured and landscaping is being added everywhere, making the atmosphere around the crystal water a tropical oasis. There is beautiful white sand on the front beach and on Gasparilla Island, and the palm trees Florida is known for are standing tall.  The Hub’s gathering area has a blanket of cool artificial turf underneath the all-important sunshade.  All of the lagoon’s buildings are coming together, and our storage units are busting with lounge furniture.

Soon, you’ll be able to take the kids or grandkids for spin on a kayak or paddle board, or just swim and float in the enormous blue lagoon at Mirada. As illustrated in the graphic above, Mirada’s lagoon features a splash zone and slide perfect for the younger members of your crew, as well as a swim-up bar and Cabana Cove for those looking to enjoy the staycation lifestyle! The lagoon also hosts a shaded area perfect for escaping the Florida sunshine, and a stage for future events.
